The Kids Need More Art studio is located in Plaza La Mer in Juno Beach, conveniently accessed from the surrounding communities of Jupiter, Palm Beach Gardens, Juno Beach, and Tequesta. Originally Opened in April 2012 at Jupiter’s Three Palms Center, Kids Need More Art moved to our location in Abacoa Town Center in the summer of 2015 to a larger studio to offer an expanded program schedule to our young artists in a space that is comfortable for both short and long term class sessions. Our primary colored walls were instantly energizing and fun, and the abundance of natural light provides the perfect setting for working with a variety of media throughout the course of the day. At the end of 2020, we closed our location in Downtown Abacoa and were very grateful to be an integral part of the resurgence of what has always been a central hub for families in the Jupiter area. Early in 2021, we had the opportunity to move to our new space in Juno Beach as part of an exciting collaboration with a well established local arts organization.

In keeping true to the example of the green initiative set forth by our partners at the Pine Jog Environmental Education Center, the studio features LEED certified furnishings wherever possible. Low to no VOC paints are used throughout and our flooring is finished in a beautiful and sustainable flooring surface that is comfortable to both work and walk on. Instructors, visitors and young artists are encouraged to remove their shoes when entering the studio and wear socks, which are provided if needed.

At Kids Need More Art, we are firm believers in recycling, and many of our projects employ found objects to challenge young artists to find new uses for old things in their art and in their everyday lives. When it’s time to clean up, we prefer cloth towels to paper because we know the little things add up to big change.
