Green is the new black and UPCYCLE is the new RECYCLE! KNMA will certainly be trending with our talented environmental artists who will engage in a fabulously creative summer honoring our Planet Earth and the delicate balance between nature and culture. Our vision is that every artist, through innovation and imagination, will begin to view various objects as having the potential to be the next masterpiece, even once discarded as trash. Then, inspired by recycling geniuses like American installation artist Louise Nevelson, native Australian painter John Dahlsen, London-based collage artist Nick Gentry, and Brazilian-born sculptor Vik Muniz, our young artists will find new ways to “cycle" found objects through the magic of creative conservation!
